My Current Night Time Skin Care Routine

What products I use, where to find them, why I love them, and most importantly: how I apply them!

Remove Surface Makeup

I cannot STAND laying around the house in makeup if I have no reason to be. The second I get home, I will use one of these to take off the majority of my makeup. This will not remove ALL of your makeup; no makeup wipes will do that. This just gives you a head start to taking off your makeup. I don't always use these but they are good for getting off that top-layer of makeup. These are great for sensitive skin and don't leave an oily residue on your skin like other makeup wipes. I also enjoy these when I get done working out to make my skin feel fresh again. You can save some money by buying the 2 pack as well!

Cleanse and Exfoliate

These are the two products I use to clean and exfoliate my face. I always wash my face with the Purity face wash at night, no matter if I already used the makeup wipes or not. I cannot stress enough that makeup wipes alone will not remove all of your makeup! If I don't use makeup wipes, I can remove all of my makeup with the Purity face wash alone. It's made to breakdown your makeup for easy removal. It's also gentle enough where you can scrub your lashes to get your mascara off without it burning your eyes!

The St. Ives Coconut & Coffee Scrub is a must-have as well!  It is a very abrasive scrub so you get a deep exfoliation. I have tried many other pricey exfoliators and this one just gets it done right! Plus you cannot beat the price tag. It is super affordable and usually under $4, depending where you buy it from. I follow up with this exfoliator after I was my face about 3-4 times a week to remove dead skin cells. The scent is also amazeballs! I take night-time showers so I use these in the shower before bed.

I have two toners that I switch back and forth between, depending on what my skin needs. When it's that time of the month, I usually experience more breakouts so I will use the Clinique Acne Solutions toner on an exfoliating cotton round. If I am not breaking out and I wan't something balancing, refreshing, and nourishing for my skin, I will use the Fresh Rose toner on an exfoliating cotton round.  I was so against the Fresh Rose toner because of the price, but after 2 uses I was sold and I committed to repurchasing it time and time again.

The affordable, exfoliating cotton rounds I use to tone HERE.

This is the priciest part of my skin care routine, but for good reason. Any oil, serum, or other treatments are going to be more expensive due to the ingredients. When I worked at Sephora, my favorite co-worker, Tyler, worked in skincare and hooked me UP with this duo. years later, I am still using it!

The Sunday Riley Luna Oil is a retinoid, which helps unclog and shrink pores, boost collagen, and promote faster cell-turnover for your skin. In simpler terms, it helps your skin produce, new, healthy, damage-free skin cells. This is why I exfoliate 3-4 times a week as mentioned above. How I apply: I put 3-4 drops onto the palm of my hand, rub my palms together, and then I press onto my skin, allover, until I don't feel the oil on my skin because it has absorbed.

The Sunday Riley Good Genes Lactic Acid Treatment goes hand-in-hand with the oil. It deeply exfoliates your skin, combats texture, brightens dark/red spots and scarring, and it plumps your skin. (If you have had acne or scarring in the past and feel like areas of your skin under some lighting looks crater-like, your skin looking more "plump" will lessen that crater look.) How I apply: I use one pump on my finger tips and massage all over my face. New acne or dead-skin areas may tingle for the first 3 minutes but it will go away. Remember it's an acid treatment. My skin looks radiant, supple/plump, and color-balanced when I wake up.
If you'd like to try this kit but don't want to pay the price of them individually, you can try this curated duo Sunday Riley Kit (minis at a discounted price).

Eye Cream

The most common myth is that you don't need to use an eye cream until you're old. This is not true! You may not need anti-aging eye cream but you do need something! I use the Belif Moisturizing Eye Bomb. They have several different "bombs" in their eye cream line, made for whatever you need. The eyes are one of the first things to give away your age because of crows feet, dark circles, and wrinkles. I make sure I postpone aging by using something hydrating around my eyes. This is perfect for sensitive skin and a DOT is all you need. I was iffy on buying this because of the price but it lasts me a year before I throw it out and buy another one. How I apply: tap into the jar with my ring finger and gently massage on my eyelid and under-eye using upward motions.
